About The Collection
The collection "Emerald City" is inspired by the first book of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (1900), by L. Frank Baum. Emerald City is a city where everything appears to be emerald green from food to people. It is, however, revealed at the end of the story that everything in the city is normal coloured, but the glasses everyone is made to wear are emerald shaded as an effort to protect their eyes from the "brightness and glory" of the city, when in fact the city is not greener than any other city.
Anima Mundi, the latin expression of The world soul is a resembling thought of hermetic philosophers like Paracelsus, Baruch Spinoza, Gottfried Leibniz and Friedrich Schelling. According to several systems of thought, believing in a native connection between all living things on the planet, is creating a relation to the world in much the same way as the soul is connected to the human body.
